Two Miami-Dade residents -- a 31-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man -- have been added to the toll of deaths from H1N1 swine flu in Florida, the CDC and Florida Health Department announced this afternoon.
Both had underlying health problems, a DOH spokesman said, but no further information was available.
On Wednesday, a 58-year-old Broward man was cited as the third fatality, as reported by the Sun-Sentinel. He was identified because the case went to the medical examiner for autopsy. The Miami-Dade deaths did not, DOH said.
The CDC reports that Florida has had 1,302 verified or probable cases of the illness, most of them mild. For more information, go to http://cdc.gov/h1n1flu/.
