 If you clicked on the story about Tom Arnold on Tuesday right after the e-Alert came to your inbox, you probably encountered a maddening wait. That's because nearly 1,000 other people did the same thing at the same time.

The news that a Senate committee had unexpectedly voted against the confirmation of Arnold for Secretary of the Agency for Health Care Administration obviously held fascination for our readers. Our site wasn't designed to handle that much simultaneous fascination.
