Noooooooo -- Don't let health debate mess up holidays

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who's been hinting that the debate over health care might slop over into the holiday season, ought to know better. It's not fair to mess with Christmas (or Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.)

For some of us, it's the only time we can relax and be with family. It's the only time we can think about something other than what's going on in Washington, or in Tallahassee.

If Reid can't get his work done by Thanksgiving, he's not trying hard enough. President Obama needs to tell him that.

And if that doesn't work, send over Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Obama, Olympia Snowe and the other moms on Capitol Hill. Moms need time to shop, wrap and cook. They'll  tell him: Harry, don't mess up our holidays. Get yourself in gear!
