About UsAmy Dean, West Palm Beach
Amy Dean, Vice President of Strategic Programming & Policy at Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc., is responsible for oversight and facilitation of the foundation’s grantmaking and nursing workforce initiatives. Ms. Dean also directs the foundation’s health policy and advocacy efforts in the areas of healthcare workforce capacity and healthcare access. She has been with Palm Healthcare Foundation since August 2003. Prior to joining the nonprofit sector in 2001, she worked in real estate finance and investment banking in Chicago; Sydney, Australia; New York City; Miami; and West Palm Beach. Ms. Dean is a member of various professional organizations, including the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Florida Public Health Association, the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and the Economic Council of Palm Beach County. She serves as a member of the Florida Health Policy Center, and on the boards of Workforce Alliance and Florida Health News, an online, statewide health policy news service. Ms. Dean also serves on the Audit Committee of the Village of North Palm Beach, where she is a resident. Ms. Dean holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, with a double concentration in finance and statistics; a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a double major in real estate development/urban land economics and management administration; and a Bachelor of Health Services from Florida Atlantic University. |
