Toni May, West Palm Beach

Toni May is currently the Director of Community Relations/Communications at the Quantum Foundation in West Palm Beach. Quantum focus is on improving health care access in Palm Beach County.

May is a former Emmy Award–winning host and executive producer of South Florida Today, which airs on WXEL, a public television station. During her ten years on the air with South Florida Today, she produced hundreds of stories on a wide range of topics of local interest including health, education, community improvements, environmental issues and politics. Under her leadership, WXEL’s only locally-produced, weekly show won a Society of Professional Journalist award, an Associated Press award for best public affairs show Florida and a prestigious NETA Award for best public affairs show in the nation.

May volunteers on several community organizations and mentors elementary school students interested in the broadcasting field. She obtained her degree in Broadcasting from the University of Florida and is a native Floridian.
